Lingosphere ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Lingosphere mobile application (the "App"). This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account data: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and a hashed password. You may optionally sign in via Google or Apple, in which case we receive only the email and display name provided by that provider.
Usage data: We collect quiz session results, scores, language preferences, and proficiency levels to power leaderboards and personalised difficulty.
Device data: We may collect device type and OS version for crash reporting and performance monitoring. We do not collect advertising identifiers.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We retain your account and quiz data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Lingosphere is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact us so we can delete the account.
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We apply rate limiting and authentication controls to protect your account.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
